Bathing establishments: the ranking of the most expensive beaches of the peninsula (according to Codacons even up to 1,500 per day)

Codacons launches the alarm on the star rooms of the VIP shores: imperial curtain in Versilia reaches dizzying figures, while standard plants remain stable

Summer 2025 confirms the increasingly marked gap between the luxury and traditional beaches. While for standard bathing establishments the prices remain substantially unchanged compared to 2024, in the most exclusive shores of the peninsula the rates have reached astronomical levels, with peaks of 1,500 euros per day for the most prestigious stations.

The ranking of seaside luxury

The absolute primacy is up to the Twiga in Versilia, where the famous “imperial tent” costs 1,500 euros per day in August. A figure that must be specified, includes services for a maximum of ten people: four beds, four beds, four deckchairs, three chairs and a table. For those who opt for a normal tent of the same factory, the expense still drops to 600 euros daily, including two beds, two beds, two deckchairs and a table.

Follows on the wheel the Augustus Hotel in Forte dei Marmi, Where a sea front station in August costs 560 euros per day, guaranteeing two single beds, one double, two deckchairs, sheets and safe.

In Sardinia, al Nikki Beach Costa Smeraldathe “beach bed + sofa” formula with double beds, two -seater sofa and umbrella reaches 550 euros per day, including a credit of 230 euros that can be used on the menu.
Venice is no different: on the beach of the prestigious Hotel Excelsior del Lido, a front row hut costs 515 euros, complete with two deck chairs, bed with mattress, table with seats and other premium services.

Traditional plants resist

Fortunately for those looking for a more accessible seaside experience, the costs of traditional bathing establishments remain stable, with an umbrella and two sun beds that cost on average between 32 and 35 euros per day during the weekend.

Also in this segment there are significant territorial differences. In Sabaudia there are up to 45 euros, a figure that rises to 90 euros in Gallipoli and touches the 120 euros in some places in Sardinia. Many operators have maintained the lists of last year, while others applied small touches up to a maximum of 5%.

Increases on accessory services

If the basic prices of the umbrellas have remained relatively stable, the speech for accessory services is different, which have undergone average increases of 2-2.3%. Drinks, ice cream, snacks and rental of equipment such as pedalò, kayak and sup cost more than 2024, confirming the trend of the tourist sector to overcome general inflation.

A two -speed sea

Codacons’ data photograph an increasingly polarized sector, where two apparently distant worlds coexist. On the one hand, the elite of seaside tourism that can afford dream experiences with dizzying figures, on the other families and swimmers who still try to enjoy the sea without compromising the holiday budget.

The challenge for the summer 2025 will be to keep the right to the sea accessible for everyone, without giving up the quality of the services and the enhancement of the excellence of our coast. In the meantime, those who dream of a day in the imperial curtain of the Twiga will have to put their hand to the wallet for an experience that costs as much as a small journey abroad.
