A new food alert involved a Christmas dessert of the Bauli brand, distributed in supermarkets. The affected product is the Profiteroles trunksa cake filled with chocolate cream, covered in chocolate and cream puffs with a creamy centre.

The reason for the recall concerns the undeclared presence of an allergen, the peanutwhich may be present in traces in the product. A risk therefore for all people allergic to this ingredient, while the dessert is safe for other consumers.

All the details of the recall

The batch of the recalled dessertin 820 gram packs, it is the LT452V, with the minimum shelf life set at April 30, 2025.

The recall concerns exclusively this specific batch, produced in the Bauli factory in Castel d’Azzano, in the province of Verona.

The problem emerged thanks to a report received on 10 December from a supplier who informed Bauli of the possible contamination of the dessert with traces of peanuts, an allergen not declared on the label.

Bauli immediately activated the procedures required by current legislation to guarantee consumer safety. In a statement, the company underlined that peanut is not an ingredient in the recipe, but could have contaminated the product.

As a precaution, the company recommends that people allergic to peanuts not consume the sweet and return it to the point of sale.
