Plaids are formidable allies during the winter season, but even those we are most fond of sooner or later abandon us. As a result of using them, it is normal for them to get ruined, losing their original colors and softness, but we can always recycle them with a pinch of creativity.
Cushions
If the throw is not too damaged, but only stained in some areas, you could cut it into pieces and use it to cover cushions. As long as you have a minimum of skill with needle and thread.
Clutch
Simply cut a rectangle of plaid and add a zipper to get a beautiful, ready-to-use clutch bag.
Pet blankets
Animals don’t care if the plaid has lost its original splendor, they will still appreciate its softness. Place it in the kennel or on top of their favorite pillow, they will be grateful!
Pot holders
You can recycle old throws to make comfortable pot holders: just cut some squares and sew the edges.
Doll clothes
Do the dolls need a wardrobe update? If you know how to sew, you could use old plaid to make cold-proof clothes.
