Terrines and salad bowls are certainly not lacking in the home because, for one reason or another, they always come in handy. But what to do when they get ruined and can no longer be used in the kitchen? The magical creative recycling comes to our aid with many DIY ideas, one more ingenious than the other.
Chandelier
You can transform a bowl into a beautiful chandelier: in this case you will have to drill a hole on the underside of the bowl and insert the cables and the light bulb.
Birdbath
If the bowl is aesthetically pleasing, you could attach it to a vertical stand in the garden and pour some water inside for the birds. They will be grateful to you!
Pet bowl
If you don’t feel like sprucing up the old bowl, the simplest reuse of all is to use it as a bowl for pets.
Storage
A very simple way to reuse your mixing bowl or old salad bowl is to use them as storage. We suggest you embellish it with the decoupage technique: just clean it and cover it with pieces of tissue paper, gluing them with vinyl. Alternatively you can cover the bowl with cloth.
Centerpiece
If you cover the bowl or salad bowl with fabric or tissue paper (in this case using the decoupage technique), you can also use it as a centrepiece, placing dried or artificial flowers inside.
