Entrance ticket to Venice: here’s who will have to pay 10 euros

Entrance tickets for 54 days a year compared to the current 29 and an increase from 5 to 10 euros for those tourists who book at the last moment.

The new provisions from the Municipality of Venice regarding the paid ticket to visit the ancient lagoon city have arrived: next year the second phase of testing will begin, a basis on which those who book less than four days before arriving in the city will have to pay 10 euros instead of 5.

Ten euros for those who pay the access fee after the fourth to the last day before the day of access, we read in the note from the Administration.

The “access fee” was introduced this year. Only those visiting the city on the same day have to pay it and it is only asked for from 8.30am to 4pm. Tourists who stay overnight in some accommodation facility do not have to pay it, for whom it is payment of the tourist tax is already mandatory, nor – among others – residents and children under 14 years of age. Persons with disabilities and their companions, as well as personnel from the armed forces, police forces and firefighters, do not have to pay either.

Finally, also for the year 2025, the access fee will not be applied to the smaller islands, including the Lido of Venice (including Alberoni and Malamocco), Pellestrina, Murano, Burano, Torcello, Sant’Erasmo, Mazzorbo, Mazzorbetto, Vignole, S. Andrea, La Certosa, S. Servolo, S. Clemente, Povegli. And it’s not even due by whom transits to Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto or Maritime Station, without accessing the
Ancient city.
