The exhibition Picasso the stranger presents over 90 works by the artist together with documents, photographs and videos, offering a new interpretation of his figure. Thanks to research in the archives of the French police and the Picasso Museum in Paris, curator Annie Cohen-Solal reveals previously unpublished aspects of Picasso’s life, addressing current issues with a multidisciplinary approach.

Mudec Museum of Cultures – From September 2025 to February 2026

The exhibition, created with the Kunstmuseum in The Hague, offers a complete overview of Escher’s career, highlighting the affinities between his works and Islamic art. Although linked only by Escher’s visits to Moorish Spain and southern Italy, both share a mathematical-geometric approach, with themes such as infinity, tessellations and metamorphoses, distinctive elements of Escher’s work.
