Iris, the photovoltaic flower that follows the sun and that you can take wherever you want

A photovoltaic “flower”, with a design that recalls one of the starfighters of Star Warsto be taken anywhere to produce renewable energy.

Solutions to become energy independent and sustainable are… flourishing, it must be said, almost everywhere. We have already seen the photovoltaic flower inspired by sunflowersto be placed in the garden to produce clean energy, e the portable panel that folds like origami. Today’s represents the synthesis of what we have already known: the first portable panel capable of tracking the sun.

Is called Iris T1just like the blue flower, but comes with weatherproof solar panels and a 270 Wh battery. It is composed of a sphere topped by solar panels, well anchored to the ground thanks to three removable feet, for a total weight of just 6 kg. It also has USB and USB-C connections, which allow you to charge devices such as laptops and smartphones without problems, wherever you are, from the garden to the campsite.

In addition to its attractive design, it stands out for its ability to track the sun thanks to a tracker and a rotating panel, which maximize energy production. In fact, unlike fixed solar panels, the Iris T1 increases performance thanks to solar tracking technology. It is a simple solution, ready to use and, above all, accessible from an economic point of view.

The project, born from a successfully concluded Kickstarter campaign, will arrive on the market next April, although the next estimated deliveries are for August 2025. However, it can already be ordered on the official website at a price of £950 (approximately €1,095) instead of £1,250 (approximately €1,440).
