New Year’s crafts for children: 4 DIY ideas, one cuter than the other

In the days leading up to New Year’s Eve you could involve the little ones in making some themed crafts: from hats to headbands, it will be real fun to welcome the New Year with creativity. Here are 4 DIY ideas to draw inspiration from.

Headband with pipe cleaners

The New Year’s headband is an explosion of creativity: to make it you need a simple headband and silver, gold and pink pipe cleaners.

Chopsticks

Do you want New Year’s Eve-proof chopsticks? Get some wooden skewers, gold-colored cellophane and any white tissue paper. Cut the cellophane and tissue paper into strips and cut them into fringes, making parallel lines with the scissors. Make sure not to cut the bottom part of the strip, which will be glued around the end of the wooden post.

These “chopsticks” are also perfect to use as Cake Toppers.

Caps

What would New Year’s Eve be without hats?!! You can make them with colored or raw cardboard:

Star with bread bags

Highly scenographic, these paper stars are disarmingly simple, child-proof. And to make them you need very simple bread bags. Here you can find the complete tutorial.
