The idea was simple but powerful: to invite schools to create a collective design per class, with the aim of tell, through art, the eternal city and the spirit of the Jubilee. The result was surprising: 1,741 processessent by 386 classes Of 53 Institutesfor a total of beyond 7,000 children participants. The selected drawings decorate both the outside and the interior of the train, transforming it into a real itinerant gallery.

The illustrations express a fresh and authentic vision of Rome. Some works celebrate the city as a place of Meeting, inclusion and solidaritywhile others highlight his urban transformation. Many documents represent the public transport As a vital element of the city fabric, paying homage to the fundamental role that it plays in the daily life of the Romans.

A party at the Brancaccio Theater

The final ceremony took place at Brancaccio Theaterwhere over 1300 children attended one magic show and moments of entertainment led by the actor Max Giusti. The institutions are also present: the councilors of Roma Capitale to Mobility, Eugenio Patanè, and the school, Claudia Pratelli, together with the president of Atac Giovanni Mottura. Surprisingly, the mayor Roberto Gualtieri also intervened, to whom the first specimen of the illustrated book was donated.

The volume “A train to the Jubilee”delivered to the first citizen, collects all the selected drawings and is divided into Four sections.
