The Ministry of Health has spread a food alert that concerns some lots of mozzarella produced by Granarolo but sold with other brands in Italian supermarkets. The reason for the provision is the possible presence of metal foreign bodies within some packs. It is a precautionary call, but important for the safety of consumers.
Let’s see all the products involved.
All the mozzarella recalled
All the products concerned come from the Granarolo plant of Usmate Velate (Monza and Brianza), identified by the IT 03 144 CE brand.
Below is the detailed list of mozzarellas withdrawn from the market:

As you can see from the appeal cards, the alert was reported only on August 14, when two of the five lots concerned were practically already expiring (August 15). To date, the only product still with valid expiry date is the Latbri mozzarella (lot: N5205D, deadline: 22-08-2025), then carefully check the refrigerator to make sure you don’t have it at home.

It is not the first time that Granarolo recalls his mozzarella: in recent weeks a lot had been withdrawn for possible plastic fragments, while this time the call concerns metal fragments and affects another production plant.
