It’s not very rare but it’s been missing for a while, and it’s coming back: la night between 7 and 8 July we will admire the again “kiss” Moon – Saturna show that – time permitting – could also be seen with the naked eye (although, as we always say, it is better to equip yourself with at least a good pair of binoculars to better appreciate the details of the Lord of the Rings).

As the UAI explains, in the second part of the night between 7 and 8 July we will be able to observe the Last Quarter Moon close to Saturn, in the constellation of Pisces (in the map the sky of July 8, 2026 at approximately 4.00 am).
It may not be easy to admire the show, especially due to the not very convenient time, but it’s worth it. In fact, given the season, we expect a clear sky, and it is not every day that such a suggestive conjunction shines in the sky.
