And a page in the history of Italian race walking has been written: this incredible talent is the first woman from our country ever to climb to the top step of the podium in 20 editions of this competition.

It had never happened in the previous 20 editions – writes the Italian Athletics Federation – first ever gold in walking at the U20 World Championships, Serena Di Fabio is world champion in Eugene in the 5000 on the track (20:57.57)
