The discount chain IN’s Mercato has withdrawn and recalled from sale frozen tuna fillets under the Selezione Più brand. It is the second recall of the same product in two weeks, after the one on October 19th, with both batch and supplier changing.
The recalled product
It’s about the Frozen Tuna Fillets Selection Più in packs of 250 grams. The Indian company Jude Foods India Private Limited produces them in its factory at number 230/1 in North Thamaraikulam, India. The recall concerns production lot 76504-01-001, with all expiration dates. The chain specifies that no other lot is involved, the chain specifies.
The reason for the recall
The product may contain histamine in quantities exceeding the legal limits, the same problem that had already triggered the October 19th recall mentioned at the beginning. In that case the fillets, again Selezione Più of 250 grams, were from batch 14714720726 with expiry date 31/12/2027 and came from the German I. Schroeder KG, which had them processed in the Kramer Fish factory in Urk, in the Netherlands.
What to do if you bought it
If you have a package with the indicated lot, obviously, you must not consume it. Instead, return it to the store where it was purchased to request a replacement or refund.
