Ghosts that emerge from the most unexpected corners, pumpkins, giant bats, makeshift living rooms that give you chills, disturbing scarecrows, all strictly in the name of DIY and creative recycling.
All you need is a pinch of imagination (in a dark way) and the right materials (which are everywhere) to transform your garden into a film set worthy of the best Halloween films. Don’t you believe it? Take a look at the ideas we have selected, they are amazing!!!
Ghost with sheets
We all have an old sheet at home and Halloween is the right time to take it out of the closet and give it a second (disturbing) life.
Alternatively you can paint the sheet black and place it on top of a structure like the one you see below.
Scarecrow
The cross structure made with two sticks is also perfect for the Halloween scarecrow. In this case he uses worn, torn clothes, stained with fake blood, and a beautiful hand-carved pumpkin as a head.
Trees with eyes
Do you want an easy idea? Paint some eyes on the tree trunk, making sure to use non-toxic paints.
Brooms and witch hats
Brooms made of sorghum are also perfect for creating the right atmosphere outdoors in view of Halloween: you can place them on the trunks of trees, place some at the entrance to the house, or in some corner of the garden.
We advise you not to leave them alone, but to place them alongside other themed elements: pumpkins, witch hats, fake tombs and things like that.
Nice idea to paint the handles with black and white stripes.
Disturbing living room
Do you want to create a really creepy corner? Get an old door, an old chandelier and an old armchair, and set up a corner of the garden as if it were the living room of a horror movie house. Add some matching details: pumpkins, fake crows, garlands of branches. Nothing should be left to chance!
Giant bats
You can make giant bats for the garden using hangers and garbage bags. Here you will find the tutorial that explains step by step how to do it.
