Native Americans called it the Hunter’s Super Moon because it opened the hunting season. And for the same reason she was nicknamed Red Moon, Blood Moon or Blood moon.
This year it will make its appearance (in the high heavens) on October 17th and will be so close that it may appear up to 13-14% larger and up to 27-30% brighter than a minimoon. In short, the show promises to be incredible.
Equally spectacular could be the effects that this Moon in Aries (fire sign) will have on our lives, a guarantee (it is said) of profound change, but also of chaos, turmoil and decisions that are a tad too impulsive.
On the other hand, we know that Aries’ energy is irrepressible. It depends a little on the use we make of it, on our zodiac sign and on many other astrological aspects that should be investigated with those who deal with it professionally.
Simplifying the question (very much), we could find ourselves embracing the constructive aspects of the Aries energies, which make us courageous and determined in facing challenges (even in the case of a necessary closure), or find ourselves immersed in a state of profound restlessness mixed with nervousness.
However, by focusing on our true goals and needs, and learning to identify the obstacles to overcome and the difficult decisions to make, we may be able to transform a seemingly discouraging phase into a very constructive moment.
This Supermoon also talks to us about the need to face our emotional ghosts by delving into the darkness, aided however by our inner warrior.
The Yoga and Meditation expert Julie Peters, in an article published on Spirituality&Health, offers us some suggestions to best experience the energies of this Supermoon:
