This is the ninth-eighth career Masters 1000 won by the world’s number 1 tennis player, the fifth in a row, the fourth in 2026 and the second on clay. Even Rafael Nadal (2013) e Novak Djokovic (three times between 2013 and 2026), in their extraordinary careers, they achieved four Master 1000s in a row.
Among other things, this is Sinner’s first victory in Madrid (before he had never even reached the final), indicating that now there is really nothing to worry this immense champion. Now on the calendar there are the Italian Internationals, another Master 1000, but above all the Roland Garros, the only slam that our champion has not yet won and which would allow him to complete the Carrier Grand Slam.
Go Sinner!
