The Ministry of Health has ordered the immediate recall from the market of a batch of Vergani mini panettone. The packaged dessert has been withdrawn from store shelves due to a possible risk for consumers due to the presence of allergens not declared on the label
Wrong labeling and out of supermarkets: on November 14th, the Ministry of Health ordered the withdrawal of a mini panettone due to incorrect labelling.
Specifically, it is a batch of the classic gluten-free mini panettone sold under the Vergani brand in individual packs of 100 grams each. It is a small panettone produced and packaged by the company Zero+4 Srl in its factory in Desio, in the province of Monza and Brianza.
Allergen risk, therefore, not declared for specific packages:
The notice explains that the recall was ordered as a precaution by the manufacturer itself due to the possible presence on the label of the incorrect claim “LACTOSE FREE”. In fact, the product, on the contrary, contains lactose.
