Nature’s Best Photography International Awards 2024: the winning photos that won over the jury

This year too, the winners of the prestigious competition dedicated to nature photography “Nature’s Best Photography International Awards 2024” were announced. There’s no doubt about it, the shots that won over the jury are spectacular from first to last.

Starting from the photograph that won first place, “Bengal Tigers”, taken by Mangesh Ratnakar at the Tadoba-Andhari Reserve, Maharashtra, India. The photographer, who followed the growth of the smallest tiger over the years, managed to immortalise it during a “fighting lesson”.

In the “Birds” category, “Egret and Ladyfish” by Xiaoping Lin triumphed, immortalizing the exact moment in which two fish jump out of the water passing next to a heron, ready to catch them.

In the “Wildlife” category we find in first place two African leopards fighting against each other. The image of Kevin Dooley was taken at the “Mashatu Game Reserve”, in Botswana.

The winner in the “Animal Antics” category is Brian Clopp’s photography, which features two foxes intent on exchanging some cuddles.

Moving on to the “Polar Passion” category we find Brett Freliche’s shot, “Beluga Whales”, which portrays a group of belugas from Hudson Bay, Canada.

“Art in Nature” saw the triumph of “Eye of Frozen Lake” by Lei Li, a spectacular image of a frozen lake. How evocative nature can be!

In the “Landscapes” category we find “Fireworks” by the Brazilian Marcio Cabral, who portrayed a splendid field of Paepalanthusan endemic plant of Brazil, which reflects the rays of the rising sun.

Belva Hayden won in the “Outdoor Adventure” category with the shot “Highliner During Annular Solar Eclipse”: a slackline athlete walks on a suspended wire during an annular solar eclipse.

A place in the ranking for the very young photographers of the world could not be missing, a category which saw Alberto Román Gómez, only 9 years old, triumph with “European Stonechat”. His photo, taken in “Arcos de la Frontera”, in Spain, portrays a stonechat perched near a gate, as if it were its guardian.
