Shock discovery in a load of bananas from Ecuador: a poisonous snake appears

Every day loaded with bananas come all over the world from Ecuadorthe main manufacturer country worldwide. The bananas arrived a few days ago in a New Hampshire supermarket, however, contained an unexpected and somewhat shocking surprise to say the least.

Among the helmets, a snake, coming directly from the Ecuadorian forests, has decided to take a slightly unscheduled trip. It was a specimen of Leptodeira ornatawhose presence surprised the employees of the supermarket and local experts who intervened promptly to remove it.

The snake did not actually represent any serious danger for men, but obviously the fact of being struggling with an unknown and tropical species triggered the alarm and caused not a little fear among the employees.

It was discovered then it is precisely a specimen of Leptodeira ornata, a species only slightly poisonous, which lives mainly in the tropical and subtropical regions of Ecuador. Known for its particular eyes, which recall those of a cat, it is one of the most common species in the forests of the area.

Although its poison is not fatal for humans, it can still cause irritation or swelling in case of bite. But these snakes tend to be shy and certainly not aggressive and their presence in bananas shipments is at least unusual.

The story, however, ended more or less well for everyone: the officials of the Fishing and Wild Fauna Department of New Hampshire intervened quickly, removing the snake and transferring it to the Rainforest Reptile Shows in Massachusetts.
