Jagjit Singhan entrepreneur from Gurugram in India, has transformed a simple idea into a real mission aimed at improve the lives of stray animals in and around Delhi. Through his initiative Stray Talk IndiaSingh realizes shelters for them using recycled materialssuch as plastic drums and wood fiber containers.
These shelters are designed to offer protection and warmth to stray dogs, especially during harsh winters of the region, when temperatures can drop dramatically. But as mentioned, it all started from an idea that originated from a casual observation.
One day, he noticed a stray dog resting comfortably inside an empty barrel in his factory. From there, he decided to transform these unused containers into welcoming shelters, lining them with mattresses to offer greater comfort to animals. The initial success encouraged him to expand the initiative, involving his factory staff and other volunteers.
