He would have died on a farm without ever seeing a blade of grass, without being able to run carefree and discover new environments and scents, but now his freedom has finally been returned to him.
A bull was saved from the dairy industry and he met his new family in the’Uncle Neil’s HomeNew Jersey sanctuary. The volunteers welcomed him, giving him a second chance and naming him George.
An employee of the farm was responsible for his rescue. When George was born, the worker reported the animal to the non-profit organization that runs the shelter, which didn’t think twice about taking it into its care.
His story was only partially told by the staff, but we know from the posts shared for 5 years George lived in captivity. Now he is a free animal and no one will ever be able to exploit him, harm me or imprison him again.
The Uncle Neil’s Home team released sweet images of George’s journey through the sanctuary. After months of quarantine, they introduced him to their guests, allowing the network to follow his extraordinary adventure. More than a journey, a true rebirth.

His happiness is uncontainable, it is a joy for the eyes and the heart. George jumps in the grass, communicates with his peers, approaches them curiously, runs with them at a party, rolls on the ground. How many new sensations, how much beauty freedom brings with it.
The videos moved users, helping to show a side of cattle unknown to many and reinforcing the idea that every living thing has its own unique personality. George, like dairy cows and other “cash” animals, is an intelligent, sensitive creature, with fears and other feelings.
In the sanctuary he will be able to give expression to his emotions, leading a peaceful life alongside his peers and many other different but free species.
