Moon immersed in the Pleiadesthen into conjunction with Jupiter: The November 16th and 17th let’s not miss the encore shows, both of us visible to the naked eye (weather permitting), which heaven offers us for free. The events will also be embellished by Leonid shooting starspeaking at the same time. We don’t miss out!
As the UAI explains, on the night of November 16th the Moon will dominate the planet Jupiter with its light, finding itself among the star cluster of Pleiades and the star Aldebaran (on the map the sky of November 16, 2024 at approximately 9.00 pm).
And, as we always say, the Pleiades I am one show even alone: in fact the star cluster, far from sources of light pollution (which is actually becoming a huge problem), shows us up to 12 stars and in any case, if the weather is kind, it is not difficult to count 4 or 5 even in the city.
The following evening, November 17, our satellite, still in the constellation of Taurus, will be beyond Jupiter, passed during daylight hours, giving rise to a splendid conjunction (in the map the sky of November 17, 2024 at approximately 9.00 pm).
And it doesn’t end here, because November 17th is also expected Leonid peaksplendid shooting stars originating from the comet Tempel Tuttle. This year the meteor radiant, i.e. the point from which the shower appears to start, will be observable from midnight until dawn, reaching its greatest height at over 65° above the horizon.
Increased activity is expected the night between 17 and 18 Novemberin times when unfortunately the Moon could cause disturbance, moreover the same Moon which will, however, give us the shows described.
We don’t miss out, and we also prepare some wishyou never know.
