The tragedy of the breeding pretended in a podcast: “breathe still” tells the end of a unique biodiversity

It was April 2022 when in a breeding in Lavezzola, in the province of Ravenna, where hundreds of courtyard animals lived, including chickens, ducks, doves and peacocks (nothing that was destined to become slaughterhouse meat) and known for its collection of birds ornamentalincluding crowned cranes, black swans and pink flamingos, was literally swept away.

All those wonderful specimens were demolished, torn away by the care of Gaia Fenati and his father Paolo, after only one animal was positive for a strain of avian influenza.

We talked about it here: Focola di Aviaria in a breeding of Ravenna: exterminated hundreds of hens, ducks and healthy peacocks

Lorenzo Biagiarelli spoke about them and this farm for more than three generations in the first episode entitled “Another world”Of the new podcast “They still breathe”launched by the new company of Selvaggia Lucarelli and Biaggiarelli himself, Boutade.

There was the story of a family, of hundreds of wonderful birds, of an ancient aviary. And then, one day, a phone call changed everything, writes Biaggiarelli.
